Information

Transfer from Ibiza port: ferries, cruises and yachts

Ibiza port is one of the island's busiest entry points. M Transfer guarantees punctual pickup for ferry, cruise and private yacht arrivals, with an identified driver and executive vehicle waiting at the pier.

How many passengers arrive at Ibiza port?

Ibiza port handles over 2 million ferry passengers per year. In high season, taxi queues at the pier are common. A private transfer eliminates the wait and guarantees immediate transport to any point on the island.

Transfers for yachts and private boats

If you arrive in Ibiza by private boat, M Transfer offers coordinated pickup from the marina or agreed coastal points. Discreet, punctual service adapted to mooring schedules.

IN-DEPTH CONTENT

Arriving and leaving Ibiza by sea — how we coordinate it

The sea has its own timing. We adapt to it.

Unlike a flight, a boat doesn't always arrive at its scheduled time. A swell delays a ferry. A cruise ship docks early. A yacht anchors when it can, not when it's supposed to. We design the operation accounting for this from the start: your transfer is coordinated on the real arrival or departure time, not the one printed on the ticket.

Arriving in Ibiza

The chauffeur is at the agreed pickup point at the real time of mooring or disembarkation. Before you step ashore you already have their name, the vehicle model and a direct phone number.

Leaving Ibiza

We calculate the pickup time with the real margin needed for boarding controls (procedures vary by operator, vessel size and time of day). No last-minute rush on the dock, and no two-hour wait from over-caution.

Transfer services to Ibiza Port and the marinas

The boat brings you to the port. Our work starts the moment you step on land.

We cover the three regular scenarios of sea arrivals and departures in Ibiza — ferry, cruise and yacht — and combined services with the airport when the journey includes boat and plane in the same itinerary. Each docks at a different quay and follows different timings. Knowing where you disembark, when and how to access each spot is what prevents improvisation.

Ferry arrivals and departures

We work with every operator at Ibiza Port (Baleària, Trasmediterránea, Aquabus, Trasmapi and others) on the routes from the mainland (Denia, Valencia, Barcelona), from Mallorca and on the Ibiza – Formentera line, which also operates from the Sant Antoni marina.

Disembarking from a ferry is fairly quick, but the parking around the port can be chaotic in peak hours, especially in July and August. That's why we agree on a pickup point in advance. Stepping off the ferry and circling around with the luggage looking for a car is not the best way to start the trip.

Cruise passengers during a stopover

A cruise stopover in Ibiza lasts between four and eight hours. Just enough time not to improvise. We take you straight to your points of interest on the island (Dalt Vila, Las Salinas, Es Vedrá, the inland villages, the northern coves…) and make sure you are back on board with real margin, not with minutes to spare.

If what you want is an exclusive vehicle and chauffeur for the entire stopover — not separate trips — our hourly private chauffeur service is the right choice, billed by time and not per trip.

Transfers to yachts moored or anchored in Ibiza

We operate at the main marinas on the island: Marina Botafoch, Marina Ibiza, Marina Magna and the marinas at Santa Eulalia and Sant Antoni. The service adapts to the yacht's specific situation:

  • Moored at the pontoon: direct pickup at the dock of the corresponding marina.
  • Anchored offshore: we coordinate the pickup at the dock where the tender arrives, at any accessible point on the island.

The most requested services from a yacht are transfers to a restaurant, beach club or nightclub; coordination with the airport when a stay on board is combined with a flight; and port changes when the yacht moves from one marina to another during the stay.

Port–airport and airport–port combinations

Coordinating the arrival of a plane with boarding a yacht, or the disembarkation of a cruise ship with the departure of a flight, is one of the most requested combinations in high season. You give us both times and we design the transition. If the sea arrival is delayed, we adjust the plan in real time so you don't miss the flight. It's a combined variant of our Ibiza airport transfer.

Times from Ibiza Port

Ibiza's commercial port is a minute's walk from the historic centre of Eivissa and only a few kilometres from both the airport and the southern beaches.

Vehicles and service on every trip

The whole fleet is executive class, with ample space for the bulky luggage that usually accompanies sea arrivals: large suitcases on ferries, day bags and shopping during a cruise stopover, on-board luggage for yacht guests.

Luggage assistance from the dock to the car, with no need to drag anything along the port ramps. Child seats available on prior request when booking, with no additional cost.

Why our clients choose us for port transfers

Handling the transition between the sea and the island well requires local experience.

We have been working with the ports and marinas of Ibiza for more than 8 years. We know the real timings of every operator, the best pickup points at each marina and how to navigate the cruise docks at any time of the year.

And we work with the same service structure for every client: closed rate at booking, executive-class vehicle, professional chauffeur, 24-hour availability and the same rate by day or night. That's our standard. We apply it equally to a one-off pickup from a Denia ferry and to a full day at the service of mega-yacht guests.

FAQ

Frequently asked
questions

How much does a transfer to Ibiza Port cost?+
The price depends on the destination on the island, the number of passengers and the type of service: a one-off ferry pickup is not billed like a several-hour route during a cruise stopover, nor like a yacht-coordinated service. We will send you a closed rate as soon as you tell us the boat's schedule and where you want to go. The rate doesn't vary by time of day or day of the year.
What happens if the ferry or cruise arrives late?+
Boats don't always dock on time. If your ferry or cruise is delayed, we adjust the chauffeur's time at no extra cost; just let us know from on board (or have whoever is meeting you let us know). For regular scheduled arrivals we also use port information to anticipate any gap so you don't have to do anything.
How is the return to the ship handled on a cruise stopover?+
On a stopover the one thing that doesn't allow negotiation is the time to return to the dock, because if you are not on board when she sails, you are stranded. That's why we design every route with you leaving a real margin against the boarding time, not minutes to spare. The chauffeur drops you off at the cruise dock with enough time for the controls, without the last half hour against the clock.
Do you coordinate yacht arrivals with the flight departure from the airport?+
Yes. It is one of the most common combinations in high season: clients who end their stay on board and board a flight from Ibiza, or who arrive by plane and go straight to the yacht. We need both timings to design the transition with the necessary margin and accounting for the fact that either transport may have last-minute changes.
Is there a surcharge for night or bank holiday services?+
No. The rate is the same at any time and any day of the year, which is especially noticeable at the port: early-morning ferries, weekend yacht charters or pickups at unusual hours are billed the same as any daytime service.
In which languages do the chauffeurs operate?+
In Spanish and English, the two most common languages at the port and the marinas of Ibiza. For clients who prefer to be served in Mandarin, we have a chauffeur who speaks Chinese and we assign him to the service on prior request when booking.
What is your cancellation policy?+
Free cancellation with more than 7 days notice. Between 7 and 4 days before, 20% is charged. Between 4 and 2 days before, 50%. Less than 48 hours before, no refund.
